Or at least one segment of the world. I present to you the inhabited regions of Ssilir!
Click on the map itself to see it full size but be warned, it’s kind of big.
As I mentioned before, Ssilir is 90% water and nearly all land masses are concentrated around the south pole. The south pole always faces the sun so days are very long where the Ssilirians live. I know the effect would’ve worked a little better if it were a round map but this was the first ever world map I’ve ever done. I’m trying to make a layered PDF so you can see just the geography or just the political map but I think since I made this in Photoshop instead of Illustrator I’ve got the right spell key on the wrong plane. Still, you can scan Ssilir. I don’t have a proper scale but you can think of this as roughly the southern third of the planet. I’ll be looking for darks on putting scale on maps later.
Each colored area is a city-state and the dots mark the capitals of those city-states. Six city-states each hold one temple to one of the six gods. These are considered the greatest temples of those gods and these capitals are very holy locations. Can you guess which six they are? Here’s a hint: All six end with the same suffixes.
Here’s another hint. Qul’s from the city of Relirasc.
I’ll look at each city-state in more detail on future Ssilir Saturdays. These’ll include more in-depth maps with roads, other towns, maybe even shipping lanes and other miscellanea.
As always if you want to know more chant, don’t hesitate to ask.
