Here’s a little background about the characters and their factions. There are fifteen total factions in Sigil, each one with its own beliefs and position within Sigil society. These bashers jockey for political power as much as power of belief. Like Drake said, they all run different operations in Sigil, all of them generally in line with those factions’ beliefs. There’ll be a few other people from other factions later on in the comic. Not gonna promise you lot that all the factions will get represented but several more will.
I’m really sodding happy with how this page came out. I don’t think my characters’ve ever looked so good.
For example, K'zink's a Sensate. They believe the truth is in a body's experiences and they run the Civic Festhall, the biggest entertainment venue. A body can find almost an kind of experience in the Civic Festhall.
Ianthe: I am a member of the Transcendant Order. We seek a unity of thought and action and we run the Great Gymnasium.
Qul: And what about you, Lasc?
Lasc: Not all are members of the Factions. I have not chosen to join any. So far, none appeal to me.
Congratulations on this page! I agree that it was really well done. K’zink is looking better and better with every passing Chapter. Good work with the perspectives, too.
Thank you!
Not bad, i personally could only remember the Sensates(couse of Fall-from-grace) and the Harmonium, couse they even get mentioned in the Manual of the planes(weird huh?)
btw, just remembered something, we gonna see any Cranium rats in this comic? would make interesting conversations/battles.(they always threw ball lightning at me…)
Anyway, do keep it going!
You’ll have to watch and see if cranium rats show up
This comic is going to be in and out of Sigil frequently as it progresses. I really want to explore several planes by the end!
Its like a giant multi-plane road trip! ~
We always used to stop to get beef jerky, chips and soda before a long trip.
I hope they pack well, some of these guys look like they burn through food, except Lasc… he has an eating disorder.
One day you will get an email from one of those after school programs saying they want to reach out to a wider audience to explain the horrors of bulimia and anorexia and Lasc will be there poster child!
