The trouble with most of the factions is that their members forgot what each faction’s philosophy is really about. I think the only ones that remain close to their origins are the Bleak Cabal and the Xaositects. Maybe the Indeps. The others have been dealing with politics and power too long that their original ideals sometimes get set aside.
The Athar are a bunch of bitter, jaded, cynical people but their message is not. They’re just looking for something they believe really is greater than themselves — something beyond what most planars consider “gods.”
The Anarchists could be something other than terrorists but they use terrorism to get their goals across.
If you can get ahold of the Factol’s Manifesto, it’s really an intriguing read. Of course, it’s banned in Sigil and the Harmonium and Mercykillers are just aching for a chance to scrag anyone that has the book. So you’ll have to be careful

Hmmm. Now, I don’t like what the Anarchists do, and I also don’t like the Athar… Decisions, decisions. Who do you dislike most in a given situation?
